Hi,
I am 18 and i have an 1981 Honda Cb250n Superdream, i have already insured it normally and i am paying £310
Me: 18, male, 1 accident, no endorsements, 1 years NCB, full licence (restricted to 33bhp), a bike with a top speed of 85mph: £310
My mate: 19, male, 0 accidents, one endorsement (for bold tyre), 3 years NCB, full licence (restricted to 33bhp), a bike with a top speed of 130mph: £326. (Suzuki Bandit 600)
I am driving an older, much slower motorbike, and nearly paying same as him. But mine bike qualifies for classic insurance, but can't find a company which does classic bike insurance for a 18 year old.
I also have a 1977 honda 550/4 i am restoring and insurance will between £800-£900 for that, and top end is only 102mph, and has less BHP than my mates bandit.
There is no point looking for classic insurance for when im 18, because when this insurance expires i will be 19, does anybody know a company which will insure a 19 year old for classic bike insurance?
Rob
