My two children (aged 1 and 6) have inherited 15k each. What is the best option for investing it safely for them until they are 18?

Given their young age and the sum involved, I'd see a local reputable IFA and look at a range of investments that should get a decent return over time for them.

Alternatively, opening trustee accounts for them (e.g. Halifax Guaranteed Reserve) may get an ok interest rate in the current environment and review your options each time the savings fixed rate term comes to an end.
