Missed Payment on CC

My girlfriend missed a payment on her credit card. She normaly pays it every month without fail, however this month Mint did not send her a bill to pay. When she phoned up, they told her that the payment should have been made yesterday, and apologised.
It has been paid now, and they said that any charges would be refunded, however they said that it would go down on her credit rating as a missed payment. Is there anything she can do about this?
Thanks

Follow Mints complaints procedure in writing. And threaten to take them to the FOS.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
Not really grounds for a complaint. GF is responsible for making the payments whether she received the statement or not (like by having a DD in place, or phoning them when she realised she didn't get a statement).
One missed payment in an otherwise clean credit report won't make any difference - important thing is that she doesn't get any more."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -

It doesn't matter which operating system you use, you will get popups unless of course you have popup blocking software.. which most browsers these days come with, as standard.
Congratulations for not using Windows though, don't understand why you feel the need to advertise it but whatever floats your boat. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Did MINT confirm they didn't send a statement or just your GF did not receive it? The latter is probably more obvious and I would agree she should enquire if she didn't receive it 5 days up until she normally does.
All my statements are paper free and I still remember to check them all to see when they are due to be paid.0
