. . not as worried as the other person should be! Obviously, you need to get on the phone to them and find out what is going on...
  • or try and ring owner of other cheque and really stir things up. Praps they've got yours?

Why not tell us which bank then we will know to avoid them.

Angry - maybe, but worried sick? She has evidence of mismanagement because someone else's cheque has gone to her, so if hers has been sent to someone else and somehow they manage to cash it, she will have a pretty cast iron case against the bank.

If she is still worried, you can stop the cheque, although this will cost you a few pounds.

I'd scan or photocopy the evidence, then have a nice cup of tea and phone the bank. I wouldn't panic too much - the paper trail will easily show where your wife's money went.....I think.....

If they are nice, decent chaps at the bank they might,if prompted, send your wife a bunch of flowers for the inconvenience.

    "Panic" "Worried sick"

You and your wife are going to give yourselves a heart attack. You need to take a step back. I assure you , you have not lost your money/savings. Let the bank resolve it for you.
