CCJ - how to find out how you got it?

I got turned down for a tenancy agreement as Homelet showed that I have a CCJ apparently but I have never been to court and I dont know how I got it. I have obtained my credit report from Experian, shows nothing, and I have done a search on Registry Trust - shows nothing.

How do I find out about this apparent CCJ?

Any help would be appreciated.

try Eqifax as well and then go back to the company with the documents and ask to speak to their compliance officer. It may be that they have made a mistake.

I got a CCJ last year from unpaid council tax. However it doesnt appear to show on any credit report and when I had searches done with Natwest and another company, they couldnt find a record of it either.

So I have a similar problem, but the other way round !

Did Homelet give you any idea of how long ago the CCJ was ?
