HOW to get cash on holiday ?

Me and hubby are flying of to barcelona for a weekend in sept im with hsbc and wondering how to get cash once were there

I will change about £100 into euros before we go , but what do i do once were there ?

Dont really wanna mess about with travels checks

    You can withdraw cash from ATM's (but you are charged) or you could purhcase a pre-paid card like this one:

    This isn't a recommendation as I have never used them and the likes of Thomas Cook do them as well.

    If you are only going the the weekend, I guess the first think you'd do when you get there is withdraw the cash. Why not just take Euro's with you?

    PS. watch out for the pickpockets in Barcelona however you take it.

    I always get currency at the arrival airport. Barcelona airport has plenty of ATMs

    You will need plenty in Barcelona ( thats assuming you drink a lot like me). We were there a few months ago and prices for food and drinks were high in the tourist areas such as Ramblas. For example, 2 wines and tapas was 15 euros at Ramblas.
    We took the underground out of the centre, think we got off at a stop called Gracia, fewer tourists and same round was less than 5 euros.

    As mentioned already , look out for pick pockets and bag snatchers. It is a safe place and we enjoyed it there.
