Holiday currency help!

Hi i need some helpful advice. Im going to egypt for 2 weeks and I am confused about how to take my spending money. I plan on taking £1500 spends. Now could somebody tell me what are the best ways of taking it. I cant take it all in cash because theres aparently a limit on how much currency you can take into egypt, im not sure wether travelers cheques are any good? also im not sure how much i would be charged using an ATM with my visa debit card abroad and also theres a limit you can withdraw daily so i'd be getting charged every day. If you were me what would you do:confused:

To use your debit card overseas is seen as a debit card transaction, so it would be the foreign currency equivalent of your daily UK limit, usually £300.
To actually use your card, most banks charge a set amount for each usage regardless of amount, say £1.50 and then a percentage of what you withdraw.
So for example, you withdraw €100, you would be charged £1.50 + 2.75% of total transaction amount.

Best advice, give your bank a 'quick' call and ask what they charge or have a look on your providers website.

    HTH and Enjoy your hols.
