Hi
I am going to buy a mattress from John Lewis, and as this is a fairly big purchase ie £800 plus, I was hoping there still are valid discount codes around. Do you have one?
The other option I am considering is to go through a cashback site, could you please recommend one? I know of sites such as Piggybank, Quidco, etc, which one would you choose?
Thanks a lot
Tom
Why on earth are you buying one from there? They are so over priced that even with any discounts you would still be paying over the top.0 -
Where would you recommend I buy one then? I haven't got a clue, my wife suggested John Lewis.0

Many people think that John Lewis products will be better quality than many other places. However the mattresses are still made for them by other manufacturers, and then over priced in the usual John Lewis way.
You need to try a few mattresses out in bed shops, whilst ignoring the sales staff. Get an idea of the following:- How firm do you like the mattress?
- What type of springs do you like?
- do you like memory foam?
- do you like Latex foam?
- Do you prefer foam only or combinations of springs and memory/latex foam?
- If you like different specifications, then can you find a compromise that you both like?
- What is your budget?
- What is the make and model of your existing mattress?
Then have a look on line for mattresses from smaller independent manufacturers that meet your requirements. Make sure you can speak to them on the phone, and that they have a good return policy. If they have a satisfaction guarantee, then it will be in their interest to make sure that you get the right mattress, rather than just the most expensive.0 -
I found KD Beds through Quidco very cheap, very quick and great to deal with. I had top class service.0

I agree but you need to try before you buy to get the right one I think0 -

You only need to try out different firmness, different spring systems, and other things like memory foam or latex foam.
Trying a bed out in a shop can only give you a very rough idea. You really need to sleep on a mattress to be sure.0
