My place of work have now created a "Social Networking" Policy which is very long and wordy, but basically says you can't make derogatory comments about it, and anything you do say about it you have to state it is your own opinion and not the opinion of the company, there was a rumour that a few members of staff had been suspended as they had all joined a group and had been making vile comments (similar to the OP post) about their Department Team Leaders.

I think it's fair play of the companies to do this, if you willing to complain openly you must know that there will be consquences

I'm always careful about what I say on Facebook and don't really use it for the purpose of ranting. What I hate is the dodgy pictures that always seem to surface!
There's not much you can do about other people putting your picture up, but having a private profile would prevent complete strangers such as prospective employers from finding them easily.

Her face would have been a picture when she read that. :rotfl: :rotfl:
I wonder if she did go back to pick her things up? I wouldn't have the bottle.

  • Fine to use Facebook, but be very careful... I am looking for work at the moment, have been careful to restrict my privacy settings so only my friends can see it - and I do have my former boss on my friends list! The basic lesson people should've learned is don't ever post derogatory comments about your job, boss or colleagues... but it seems people haven't!
