We are on holiday in Devon. We have a lovely well appointed appartment and DD and family have a super 3 bedroom cottage.
Well, it is lovely to see DD keeping the OS flag flying but I thought cooking a roast dinner on Sunday and keeping the washing and ironing up to date was maybe enough. But no, DD has made the most delicious scones and drop scones, a super blackberry and apple crumble from blackberries sourced on site and to crown it all her DH has made gorgeous blackberry jam, seedless, into the bargain.
Can anyone beat these for OS holiday activities or do we all need a brain transplant?
Bella.

Wow! I am so impressed. They are obviously naturally very energetic people. You know what they say - if you want something doing then ask a busy person!0

Can't beat that, though I have made jam on holiday. With so many blackberries, it seemed rude not to.
Have a lovely holiday0 -
now she just needs to make some peanut butter to go in the sandwiches with the jam...Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

No, not that energetic but they do like OS hm food. All the goodies had run out today so DD knocked up some yummy rock cakes while she was cooking the tea.
I'm jealous as although this is the sort of thing I would have done when I was feeding a family, I resisted the urge to bring ingredients so am having to make do with bought struff - ughh. I am though still using the hm bread we brought with us to put in the freezer here.
The jam was yummy. I am restricting myself to a picking to take home for the freezer to make at my leisure.
