Parents Like Us 13-14 May 2006

Parents Like Us is a 2-day festival for parents with children aged 0-5 years which is organised by a committee of ordinary parents, all of whom give their time voluntarily. Our ethos is to enhance the parent-child relationship through information, interaction, education and play. We provide a broad programme of theatre, music, parent-related information and resources, relaxation therapies, parenting discussions and parent-with-child facilitated activities. Entrance to the event is free, as are many of the non-ticketed activities and much of the side-show entertainment.

That looks really good! Sadly, I have other plans for that weekend, I hope you get lots of people and then you can repeat the event next year!
Me debt free thanks to MSE :T
  • We took our kids to this last May - it was right outside our house on Leith Links. Didn't know about it until a friend told me 2 days before it and I was amazed at the amount of people who turned up. Kids managed to participate in some free sideshow stuff - one even managed to get on telly playing the drums and they seemed to enjoy themselves. Great idea - good luck with the event this year.
One tip for MSE users, if you are going and want tickets for something, get them early.

We went today - I would have never had known about it even though I live just around the corner.

We had a great time. My son got his face painted, made a kite and made a face out of fruit.

All for free - a great day out!

    Thanks for the post
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.

    You're welcome loadsacash!

We went both days with my 3 year old and 16 month old. 3 year old delighted to have picture taken with Chris Jarvis and Justin/Mr Tumble.

An excellent festival for the little uns. Hope it is on next year.
