Meet CBEEBIES Presenters..Childrens' Festival (EDINBURGH)
http://www.parentslikeus.co.uk/
Parents Like Us is a 2-day festival for parents with children aged 0-5 years which is organised by a committee of ordinary parents, all of whom give their time voluntarily. Our ethos is to enhance the parent-child relationship through information, interaction, education and play. We provide a broad programme of theatre, music, parent-related information and resources, relaxation therapies, parenting discussions and parent-with-child facilitated activities. Entrance to the event is free, as are many of the non-ticketed activities and much of the side-show entertainment.

We took our kids to this last May - it was right outside our house on Leith Links. Didn't know about it until a friend told me 2 days before it and I was amazed at the amount of people who turned up. Kids managed to participate in some free sideshow stuff - one even managed to get on telly playing the drums and they seemed to enjoy themselves. Great idea - good luck with the event this year.
One tip for MSE users, if you are going and want tickets for something, get them early.0 -
We went today - I would have never had known about it even though I live just around the corner.
We had a great time. My son got his face painted, made a kite and made a face out of fruit.
All for free - a great day out!
Thanks for the postTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
