Credit Card Cash interest

Dear all,

Ive posted a thread about this a couple of weeks back.

Im aware that you get charged on a daily basis, and you get hit with a transaction fee.

I paid off the 40p Capital one charged last month as its charged on daily basis and this month i havent recieved any further charges, because ive paid the account off in time. As my purchase interest was paid off way before the statement date. Because my cash interest balance is £0.00 because i havent withdrawn any cash (yeh used some of my sense for once).

In terms of this,

As a gesture of goodwill, because of the confusion the gentlemen over the phone refunded me both the transaction fee of about £3.00 and also 21p cash interest added at the time. As im aware afterwards it is trailing cash interest and shows up in the next statement only if i dont pay off the settlement figure etc.

Will this have an effect on my credit as i had to withdraw cash as it was an emergency.

Will the interest rates change for both cash/purchases, as im quite new to credit cards and building up my credit. As i withdrew the cash etc.

Over time do i need to use my card for small amounts i use it for petrol, is it advisable to keep the card for at least 12 months before applying for something more mainstream.

Also im going back to University, realistically i know im not going to get a Virgin Card, but if i do well with this Capital one card and maintain it will i get a chance to apply for something better.

Will other credit card lenders know about this withdrawal will it effect me in the future ive been told it shows a sign of financial desperation but it was an emergency etc.

Look forward to any responses,

Regards,
