Distance Learning Financial Help

Hi I am completely new to all of this having recently been made redundant after working for the same company for 15 years. I am now looking at taking on some further training but need to do this in the evenings weekends as I need to look for new employment and am currently getting contribution based JSA. Does anyone know of any financial aid available as the cost of these courses are in excess of £1k. Any advise would be welcomed. Thanks in advance.
Great site.....learnt so much in the past couple of days! :T

Depending on what you want to do, have you tried https://www.vision2learn.com? They offer free courses (if they have a college near you) things like pc certs etc and you can study from home in your time.

You would probably get financial help from the Open Uni to cover all or part of your fees. It depends on your total household income and any dependants. Here I go again on my own....0
