natwest are offering

0% on balance transfers for 13 months, with a 2.9% fee, and 0% on purchases for six months.

They were advertising it in branch today. I've had a look on their website and I can't see it, although these are exactly the numbers offered to their private banking customers; I asked the teller and she said it was for a mainstream card. she didn't know how long it would last. not spectaclur, but I thought this worth a mention.

    Absolutely ;)

Online NatWest is offering new customers 0% interest on balance transfers for 15 months (2.9% fee) and 0% on purchases for 3 months. Only existing NatWest customers are eligible though.
People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.
  • The trap is of course that after 6 months you will be paying off the 0% whilst racking up interest on the purchases.
A good idea to do one or the other but not both.

Yes-never spend on a card you have transferred a balance to.
