furious at capital one

got a direct debit set up with these for more than the minimum payment, have logged onto my account today as noticed it hadnt come out of my bank and they have added a non payment charge which has put me over my limit and an overlimit charge. they have taken this payment before so why have they stopped now!! grrrr

im trying to phone them an keep getting the automated line, does anyone have a number to actually speak to a human

    I thought the direct debit would be for the minimum payment or the full balance only?

    When a DD instruction is changed, it takes time to filter through their systems. If you've changed your instruction this could be one reason. If no change then no reason for them not to take it.

    If they've made a mistake then it's their responsibility to correct it, which they will do once you push them :)

    when i set up my dd they asked how much id like to pay, i managed to get through to someone and they apologised and refunded the charges!
