Best bargain sun holiday for under £300pp?

My challenge is to find a bargain sun holiday for 2 for under £300pp.

Details - Not Spain or Turkey
flying from East Midlands or Birmingham
dates - can go ASAP, but prefer to go from 24th Aug - be back by 10 Sept. 7 nights

I know I can probably get somewhere in Greece for this price but am looking to see if there are any better "bargains" out there.

Looking for somewhere with a bit of culture/activities and not just beach.

PS - I am looking a Teletext, icelolly, Thomascook, thomson and co-op sites. If I have missed something on there of if there is another great site I should be looking at please let me know.
