What do you say to people when they ask you what your job is?

Do you tell them your unemployed or do you have other words/ways to answer the question?

Does it bother you saying if you dont work?

Being unemployed does not define who are. It does not make you are loser or any less valuable.

    Debt-free and Proud!
some people i know say I am a Sales person but I reccently got made redundant or my sister just says I dont currently work at the moment, (she has health problems) I find that people usually asking then get embarrased and dont ask any more questions!

I used to say I was greatly unwashed! Or that I was a full-time job seeker.

I've said a range of things over the months, including, "I go to interviews" or "I play solitaire" (initially I was on ESA and not looking for work - during that time there was a period of several weeks when I probably spent 6 or 8 hours a day playing solitaire!).

But generally I just say, "I'm not working at the moment."

You could say that you are a Government Artist, as you are currently drawing dole.
