Woodland Ways Bushcraft and Survival are offering nine lucky people the chance to win a place on one of their Foraging Day courses, held in 250 acres of beautiful Oxfordshire woodland.
Woodland Ways offer foraging courses throughout the spring, summer and autumn to discover the various resources available at different times of the year. During these forages you will discover flora identification techniques, and some of the edible and medicinal plants available to us in our British woodland.
The highly experienced instructors will teach you how to harvest these resources in a sustainable manner, as well as how to prepare each ingredient. There will be tasting sessions throughout the day and the opportunity for you to practice your cooking techniques over an open fire. You will also have the opportunity to prepare and cook your own game lunch. This will consist of either rabbit, pigeon, partridge, pheasant, or trout. Vegetarian options are always available.
