its not a negative attitude, its the truth. I'm not going to refuse a guaranteed job tomorrow on the basis of another one as I havent been offered the other one yet, despite vetting.

ok, so what is wrong with pretending to apply for jobs and going for interviews when you have no intention to get the job? dont you realise you could be taking the place of someone who genuinely does want the job and needs the money?!

What a bl00dy joke. Ill just pay for you to sit on your !!!!!.
  • er, I'm not the OP, and this is only a forum, there is no need to get mad. I'm not on my !!!!, i actually start my new job tomorrow morning, you're affecting my mojo

mojo? I didnt realise it was 1979...you'll be mad when you see the tax on your first wage.....just think that some of it is going to pay for people to sit on their bum. maybe you should not be on a forum at half one in the morning if you are staring a job - you are affecting your own 'mojo'.

Looks like you have fallen at the first hurdle. The chain of connection from your post here to you is straight forward. IP address from MSE Home address from ISP, ID from Electoral register.

If I wanted to find someone from your employer organisation for whatever reason, but was not concerned to find a specific person, what better place to start? You could even expect this to turn up when you are revetted.

    Best to take Jobseekers seriously.

DVardysShadow, you silly p rick !!!!!. I'm glad you're not a spy - you'd be Mr Bean. For a start, you'd only get a rough indication of the region he is in from his IP address. Secondly, he may not be on the electoral register. Thirdly, I doubt the OP has a static IP address, so shut your pie hole, fella.

Shows what you know. The IP address ties to the ISP, not to the region. And this is true, even if the IP address is dynamic. Perhaps your pie hole is at fault.

As for being glad I am not a spy, it is not me who has the pretentions to be a spy, it is the OP, who I do think is overcome with self importance about his/her new job and is showing naivety which could be their downfall, probably quite quickly.

  • woah i didn't realize that this could turn nasty. I am sorry if this has annoyed people as i am equally bitter about people cheating any government incentive.

The thought process I was going through was that since I am still going through the recruitment process but not employed yet, that is classed as actively seeking a job. If that is not the case then i fully understand and wont lie.

I will still go for my meeting and explain my circumstances but I wont lie to them and if they say I am not entitled then I will not pursue it any further.

And btw no its not a spy job :rotfl: There are many other places in the government that are high risk which dont involve aston martins and the ocasional explosion :cheesy:
