hotel in alicante wanted

Hi my friend has booked flights to alicante from 1st to 14th september now looking for an hotel 14 nights all inclusive not that far from airport because they don't drive any ideas anyone :T

Nearest resort is Santa Pola, just south of the airport. (Airport is south of Alicante.) That stretch has great beaches, especially a bit further on at La Marina and Guardamar.

Not sure about hotels as we rent private villas when we go to that area, which is about 4 times a year. Try Trip Advisor for specifics. Don't necessarily restrict yourself to AI as there are plenty of places to eat in that area and it's one of the cheapest areas of Spain for eating out.

We're going to Alicante on Wednesday for our nephews wedding. He lives in Santa Pola so we are staying there for the first few nights at the JM Santa Pola 80 euros per night booked directly with the hotel in Spain (they also do half board but not AI I don't think). We are then moving into Alicante and have booked a Top Secret hotel through lastminute.com which is the 4* AC Alicante that was book two nights get the third free and worked out at £37.50 per room per night after going through Quidco.
I've spent quite a lot of time looking over the last few months and don't think there are many better deals. Benidorm is not far away and does more AI but nothing desperately cheap other than one hotel that came up on the Thompson website hotel section.
