Itv Play

ITV Play launches today at midday. Just a word, or two, of warnng; you are calling a Premium telephone number at a cost of 60 pence a minute. Obviously someone has to pay for the prizes but ALL DIALLED CALLS ARE CHARGED whether you get through to the recorded message or not. Terms & Conditions can found here on their website http://www.itv.com/page.asp?partID=5512 but I wonder how many poor souls are going to keep calling these numbers before they realise how much it is costing them.

Probably the same people that ring the current crop of quiz channels. Perhaps they should have called it ITV PAY?0

This is yet another example of the downward spiral of that once prestigious television company called ITV. As today's "Times" pointed out this was the organisation that once bought you the likes of "World in Action" and "Brideshead Revisited". Now they are just like all those other fifth-rate channels you find on SKYWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

There was an excellent warning about this on Radio 2 during drive time with Chris Evans and the Business News Reporter lady. Cynically they both agree (as do I) that it will take the Sun newspaper highlighting the case of 'Doris from Dorking' owing several tousand to BT because of this unscrupulous scam. All this to make up lost advertising revenue...THE LONG AND THE SLOW ROAD SEEM TO APPLY TO DEBTS AND DIETS... THE TWO THINGS I WANT TO SEE THE BACK OF...:D0

And to make it worse, they took Men and Motors off Freeview to make way for ITV PLAY and last night, ITV PLAY was showing on ITV1 and ITV2 and ITV PLAY all at the same time
