Roof repairs - tiles no longer available

Roof repairs needed, and accepted as covered by insurers.
Existing roof only 6 years old but now find tiles no longer available.
Anyone any experience of insurers' attitudes in this situation please? Looks like a complete re-roof will be needed with a tile that can be obtained, but that will increase costs substantially. I can see them being difficult about this, but what other option is there?

Can they not source the tiles from a specialist reclaimation yard?0

The Insurers will not pay to reroof the house, if you push your Insurers they might offer to pay 50% of the reroof cost.
They are more likely to try and source new or used tiles from a reclaimation yard or a specialist company that keeps a stock of discontinued tiles.0
