Might be a tad too late but i am asking anyway. Our daughter is in Tanzania for some charity work and during the 8 weeks she is there, she will be climbing Killimanjaro with her group. Guides have quoted her various prices and the group managed to talk them down to $850/head.Anyone here with the experience to offer some benchmark??? Many thanks.

You would probably be better asking this kind of question on a mountaineering forum, it's probably not the kind of trip most MSErs take..0

$850 a head sounds a bit cheap - generally it's around $1000 as park fees are steep and are charged per person (including guides, cooks & "sherpas").
Try to ensure that they get an acclimatisation day half way up as that substantially increases the chances of reaching the top0 -
wow thats expensive, trekking in Nepal was much cheaper.Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.:beer:0
