Clinique skin type 4 or 3?

I've just discovered something that will save me a lot of money and maybe someone else out there. I have very oily skin and found that the only toner that works in Clinique's exfoliation lotion no 4 (step 2 in the 3-step programme). Anyway, I just happened to be looking at the ingredients one day when I realised that all that was in it was distilled witch hazel, alcohol and water. After some research, I've discovered you can just buy distilled witch hazel directly. My skin is so much better and it costs substantially less - about £2 for 200ml from Boots versus over £20 for 400ml of Clinique lotion!!!

Anyway, I though this might help someone. Also, I suspect the same will go for skin type 3 and would check if this is your skin type.

Thanks for that! What brand of witch hazel are you getting, didn't know they did it so going to hunt some out when I am next there..

I just use Boots own brand. If you can't find it, ask for it at the pharmacy. Enojy the newfound savings!
