I assume there is no difference in relation to the Employment Rights Act for Scotland so as an employee he would be entitled to a statement of main terms and conditions of employment within 8 weeks. Failure to provide a statement if it went to tribunal would see an award of 4 weeks money up to a maximum £1400.

They all should be getting the 5.6 weeks(28days) from April prorata if the holiday year is not April.

I would put it in writing, if they ignor that put it in writing again as an official grievance and sytate that you may take further legal advice.

Holidays as stated above are 5.6 weeks, 28 days for those working 5 day weeks which is the minimum he is legally entitled to.

    I wouldn't.

I would ask what the procedure for booking holidays is, and how are the hols logged so that he knows how many he has left.

My reply was in relation to asking for an employment contract not holidays.
