Best Free Security for Windows 7

Hi

Have just installed Windows 7, but Eset smart Security is not compatible yet

Would appreciate advice on best free alternatives please.

urm im running Eset SS fine on windows 7 ... upgrade to version 4 if you havn't already

When go to install it says that it is not compatible

I'm using Free Avira anti virus, all seems O.K.

I've tested AVG 8.5 Free Edition http://free.avg.com/download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition and Avast 4.8 Home Edition http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html and both worked without any problems.

The build mentioned in that blog is slighty old as well, try running the installer under vista compatability mode and as administrator

Thanks for this, i have checked and mine says exactly the same. The Eset site does not say it is compatible with Windows 7!

Panda security works but as to how good it is i cant answer
