Good evening: PTS is a chain of plumbing merchants but there are many others..Graham's, HPS, Plumb Centre, Plumb Base, City Plumbing etc.
Some independent plumbers merchants also have online shops.

Buy name brands not tat from the sheds...your plumber will thank you;)

Hi. ..you can walk into any of the merchants I have listed and buy goods...many MSErs have done so and saved £££s on quality gear...just don't expect to see a showroom full of showers, baths etc. at many of them.

Ok thanks - my wife has checked these, and still thinks the Bathstore is the best bet?

I will check them out myself also, but is this true? Are bathstore a good deal and quality?

I know what she's like and will go with anything to get it done and start, instead of trying to save or get a better deal...

Anyone else comparing bathrooms etc at the moment?

Just something to bear in mind buckman, is that bathstore have some unusual items. Some of their stuff seems to come from eastern Europe and is non-standard. It probably won't be a big problem, it's just something to add to the equation. I've done some plumbing and found their stuff a pain in the neck.

Hi Buckman, we got our bathroom installed 7 months ago and were looking at the Bathstore. In fact I was adamant it had to come from there...not sure why.

Then people persuaded me to look into named brands of bathroom suite like Twyfords, Roca etc.

I ended up getting the bathroom I wanted for about £500 less by shopping around on the internet and getting Jewson to price match. I have a Twyfords toilet and basin (admittedly a cheaper range - Refresh), a Kaldewei (sp) bath, and Bristan shower, taps and radiator for about £1000.

I think Bathstore can be a good deal if you buy things in the 'sale', but otherwise a bit pricey. I think maybe I was attracted to the whole buy it in one place and be done with it option.
