Combilay or Not: Which Laminate Underlay -Really Desperate

Folks,
Please help.
Problem: I am having a quickstep laminate floor laid in the next 7 days. Having uncovered the floor, we have discovered the concrete floor covered in old Parquet flooring. The floor is heavily scratched and faded and we have no appetite to restore or remove.
Question: What type of underlay would be appropriate? Fitter has half-heartedly recommended one with damp proof combilay underlay in order to contain the concrete damp. Friends have recommended fibre board to allow the concrete to breathe and prevent mould to build up on the Parquet.
Any help comments gladly received. Desperate for some sane advice.

we have a concrete floor and tiles on top
they put down this underlay. Its worth getting
a decent one it really makes a big difference.
Ours was laid in 2001 and still looks good,no
echo and feels solid under foot and definatly no
damp anywhere. We had the big bedroom and
hallway done first and later when we could afford it
got the sitting room done.
The fitter tried to pull a fast one by laying a cheap
underlay in the sitting room,it was awful, i insisted
that they come back and refit with the proper branded
underlay,
As our voices, the TV and foot steps echod like mad.
I had thought before having this laid that it would be
colder and harder to heat the place up but its
proved not to be the case its lovely and warm in
the winter time.
This below is the underlay they fitted
