Childrens suncream??

We're going the Dom Republic in July, and I'm looking round for good suncream for my kids, preferably on BOGOF's. Anyone know of any good ones to use?

If you can't find any BOGOFs then superdrug are often the cheapest.

Don't forget the loperamide too :D

I bought sun lotions from Lloyds Pharmacy last week for just £1 per bottle. (Lloyds own make) The sun lotion was factor 25, and some aftersun. I can't remember the size of the bottles but they were quite big. They were on a shelf with all the other sun lotions with a little special offer sticker next to them. I bought the last lotion but they had some aftersun left (They may have stocked more up now). I bought mine from Lloyds Harpurhey, Manchester, but not sure if it is a nationwide thing. Worth a look though!! GL

Boots have kids Soltan on BOGOF. There was a loophole a few weeks ago where the kids stuff was reduced to a couple of quid and still BOGOF, but it varied from store to store. Check out the Boots thread on Grabbit...page one has the details.

I can recommend AVON suncare products for all the family, especially children, They are selling one at the moment which is purple so you know where it is being applied, but rubs in. There are always different deals if you know someone who sells this, otherwise go to the company direct, it is good value for money.

I wished the buck stopped here as I could use a few.

With regards to Avon, they are currently selling it in the brochure at half price, and yes the purple stuff is good. I think it's a fiver instead of a tenner ... I'll just check.

On the website it is buy one get one free, although they dont all seem to be in stock. Plus, you pay postage from the website, whereas if you order through an agent it's free delivery.

However, in this edition of the avon book, they are ALL half price, childrens and otherwise ...

    ...childrens range includes

    Roll-on sun lotion SPF25 - Now £3 - was £6 - order code 17863

    Waterproof Purple sun cream SPF30 - Now £4 - was £8 - order code 17848

    Waterproof sun lotion SPF50 - Now £4 - was £8 - order code 17830

    Waterproof sun cream - Now £2.50 - was £5 - order code 17822

    Waterproof Lotion spray SPF30 - Now £5 - was £10 - order code 17855

If you cant get an avon book quite soon, then I'm sure they will offer it again soon.

    Good Luck

The Avon sun cream will be in the brochures now through the summer on different offers i.e BOGOF/3 for 2 etc., so if you miss out on this offer don't worry there will be more to come. I know this as my friends's daughter sells AVON and you can also back order. You should be able to find a rep in your area by contacting AVON, and if you aren't happy with the product you get a full refund- can't get fairer than that.

Hi i would buy a allday sunlotion from the airport as we went to cyprus last year with a high factor cream and my daughter got burnt within 2 hours. Kids are allways in and out of water making suncream less effective the allday cream you put on 30 mins before hand and dont need to reaply.
  • I bought a load of Boots own brand, Soltan last year when it was on BOGOF :D I got kids factor 30 & 60, plus a face stick that was used all through the summer last year when temps are 45c+ and again now it's warming up (low 30's). My 2 young boys have never been burnt even though they're in the sun for 6 hours and I put them in UV suits so don't have to use as much cream ;)
