I am off today to look for a new car (second hand) have roughly 9k and cant seem to get inspired by anything we had a C5 estate diesel which has been written off. I have 3 Teens and a hubby:rolleyes: and 2 dogs although they dont come out with us that often mainly use the car as a taxi for the kids but my OH is a scout leader so when he goes away he needs the space in the boot also we found the estate use full for our own hols
Please inspire me
Many Thanks

    Toyota Prius?

Big car without the big tax bill.

Toyotas tend to have big boots, how big are the digs, would a big boot and a dog guard be big enough, or does it have to be an estate?

One of these? Good sized boot, 5 comfortable seats, can get 2l diesel aswell which are good on economy.
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

    3 series estate?
    VW Passat?
    E Class?

Without knowing what mileage, age etc you want, it's hard to know what to suggest.

I agree- taxi drivers round here have either Berlingos or Skoda Octavia, and I'm sure it's because they either have to have a wheelchair sized cab, or they want the low running and reliability of an Octavia.;)

Indeed, the local police use Skoda Octavia's around here, local bobby told me that they are more reliable than any other make that they use, including BMW's.

Everything is more reliable than a Renault - except maybe a Land Rover!!!
