Please help with selling records and clothes

I've been selling books and CDs on Amazon for a while now and am quite addicted but I wonder if anybody can offer advice about the above?
My father died 2 years ago and we feel it is now the right time to sell his vinyl record collection and a number of high quality/designer brand items of clothing. The records essentially consist of 50/60/70s pop/rock classics and a few rarities (early Buddy Holly etc). The clothing is nearly brand new and in a few cases didn't get used at all.
Can anybody recommend/suggest any ploys for selling these items? I'm very much a non-expert when it comes to both areas so would welcome advice i.e. is there a respected online record value site; how much p&p should I charge for a standard LP; what are the most important rules to think of when selling clothes? As mentioned, they are all very good quality and were expensive when bought. My father was a big man so a lot are in XL, XXL - will this be a problem?
Thank you for any help in advance and for the vagueness of my questions.

To get the value of the records, you need the "Rare Record Price Guide 2006". Quite pricey, but may reveal a gem or two that you may overlook. Might be able to borrow it from you rlibrary.
Assess the quality of the record honestly. If it plays ok but sounds like sizzling eggs in a frying pan then dont be tempted to list it above "Good" at best. Record collectors are particularly fussy about gradings - especially foreign buyers who take their record collecting very seriously. You'll get an idea of grading in the book. That also includes the album covers. If it looks like someone sat on the sleeve once in 1968 then it wont class as "Excellent". Overhyping the grades is a guaranteed ticket to Negland.
As for clothes, I've been selling a lot of kids ones. There are a lot doing it now though, and a lot of it isnt fit for the charity shop and buyers are wary of this nowadays, so give stacks of detail to support the quality, brand, size, lots of measurements, photos etc and you might get a look. If you've got some old clothes from the days of the above records, then be sure to include the word "vintage" in the description!

I think that you'd probably do better with large clothing than average sizes - make sure that you put the size in the title.
Good luck!I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -

All good advice there - but can you tell me how to assess the quality without a turntable? does lack of scratches mean that the sound will be OK?
Also, how do you pack them to post?

Ive seen people comment that they have no record player so can't grade the vinyl apart from "well it looks in really good condition and there are no scratches". This okay, but for rarer stuff people won't take the risk. By the way can you give some examples of the records. Good luck.0

try https://www.gemm.com as you will get a better idea of prices as the record collector book is what a dealer would give you not the going rate on ebay as this is the best place to sell them list on sunday for a week and list the records which you think will get the most money after 7pm WORDWIDE then usa buyers will be up and you will get more bids as for poting i used to charge £3.50 in the uk this was for a card mailer and stiffener

The collections pretty big and I confess i find ebay a pain to list things on without a really fast computer and good digital camara but I can give you a handful of examples I've listed so far - wish ebay was as easy as Amazon!
Bob Dylan - The Freewheelin' (orange label which I understand is rare)
The Chirping Crickets (Buddy Holly) original 1st pressing
Tommy (the Who) London Symphony Orchestra (USA box set - again rare I think)
Sgt. peppers Lonely hearts Club Band - the beatles (with original poster/cut outs)
The Graduate soundtrack - Simon and Garfunkel
Big Hits (high tide and green grass (the rolling stones)
Whatever 12" - Oasis (with poster) - this one's mine.0 -
have you listed on ebay or amazon if you could pm me the link i will have a look at the listings for you
