Hi,
We are looking to go away and I wondered if anyone had been to the Holiday Village in Turkey and what they thought? I have found a suitable holiday with dates and all, but the flights are horrid night ones. I am wondering if its worth it with 2 kiddies??
Thanks a lot

Not been to the holiday village but we once got put in a hotel in same resort after our night flight was cancelled. It's very close to the airport if that is a concern, should be one of the best transfer times without putting you under the flightpath. The Villaegs seem to have a good reputation though. The Majorca one lived up to expectation s for us this year so we are considering Turkey and rhodes next year for thsoe reasons, hopefully they are as good.0

We went a couple of years ago and its only about 20mins from the airport. Its a lovery resort with loads to do for children mine were 9 & 11 at the time, loads of pools and slides. Food was ok not much choice of alchol on A/I in Turkey. We had a kids den room where we had a room with a double bed then there was sliding doors to another room with a kids theme and bunk beds. Our kids loved it and still talk about it but hubby said he will never go back because of the mozzies with both bot bit very badly. We have been to Marmaris 3 time and were never bit once.0

I'd check out the reviews on Tripadvisor and Holidaytruths before booking.
Re night flights - we hate these as you usually have to be out of your hotel at midday so may have to mooch about until they pick you up for the airport, may be after midnight.
however, if this is AI the arrangements may be different and you may be able to continue to use the facilities at the hotel until your pick up. You may not have access to a room though.
I read one report on a holiday website and someone (can't remember where it was) who was on AI had their AI wristbands cut off after checking out at midday and couldn't get food or drink. With 2 young children I'd make 100% sure of what happens on your final day.0 -
Arrived home from this resort on Fri 31 July 09 after 2 weeks holiday with OH & 2 kids (9 & 6).
It was an amazing holiday - brilliant for kids of all ages.
There are kids clubs running throughout the day and night for all age groups. THe reps are fantastic with the kids.
There are at least 3 kids pools where the water is very shallow - suitable for kids from 2 1/2 years.
The main pool has a shallow end so that kids and parents can go in together.
Food is fantastic - something for everyone.
Cleaning is a top priority - it's absolutely spotless (inc restaurants, bars, rooms, pools, grounds etc).
I'd thoroughly reccommend this resort - could you take me with you pleaseMiss Blodyn x0 -
Anybody got any tips on how to get the cost cheaper for the first choice holiday villlages ???
Ive seen and used martins general tips before but i find it difficult with these as the hotel is exclusively First Choice :think:0 -
Night flights can be good, because when its so hot over there its much better to be at the airport at night when its a bit cooler, - all them bodys in the airport etc and from the British side you come through from plane quite quick and can make some time up en route :cool:0 -

You could price it up online, then check if your local high street First Choice office will beat it.
By the way, please don't mess with the font size - changing the font size from the usual 2 to 6 is like shouting.0
