its a good cheap flight to use thomsons did have some £1 a night s/c apartments in Majorca but I think they have all gone...I cant see it on the web site anymore

how about Malta ? ,we went in may 2001 not that many beeches but hot, well worth a trip. :j :j

another cheap flight possibilty is to Girona or Reus this opens up possibilities of either staying somewhere on the coast or Barcelona itself (or combine the 2 if travelling fairly lightly)

Total cost to Reus = £81 per person inc tax
Total cost to Girona = £101 inc tax

Someone else might be able to recommend somewhere to stay - if it were me, I would do 4 or five nights on the coast, then do 2 nights in Barcelona (including a good night out on the Friday).

Or for something completely different, flights to Rome for £2.49 + tax on those dates (but accommodation harder to find and italy is more expensive).

Hi guys, thanks for all these suggestions, they will come in very helpful.

I may have to put on hold - i broke my foot last night playing football!!! 6 weeks in plaster, which might affect it, but we haven't decided yet!

We will have a good look at some of these ideas, and any others that come through and let you know.
