  • fairly easy, ive done it no real issues. I strongly suggest reading the haynes. The only problem i had was getting the spheres off, but a bit strap wrench sorted that out!
  • and for gods sake dont get under it until its fully suported, or you will die

This is all very complicated.... I'm a huge Xantia fan and have owned them for years. A BIG warning - if you get this wrong then you could well end up with no brakes or steering.... which is very very scary as well as dangerous. Because you may well have other problems that may not just be the spheres. Hopefully it is just what you are going to replace. But I'd be very careful. Even some garages won't touch these cars because they are complicated. Let alone a DIY job....

Thanks for your concern wastewhata and i will take all necessary precautions to ensure not only my own safety but that of others. I will have a go at replacing them though as i love a challenge. Hopefully i wont get it wrong and it wont be very very scary or dangerous.

    Regards.
