I suppose the kind of jobs available to her would depend on how bad her english is and whether money is really a consideration. If it's just the case that she is bored why not consider charity work?

The lack of English is a problem, however maybe you could speak to some employment agencies? They may have some cleaning jobs or factory work, which often require only minimum English but a hardworking ethos.

Also, maybe she could work in an Indian restaurant or Asian retail shop, jobs that you will find only by asking around?

I would definitley work on the English though.
I'll have some cheese please, bob.

    Hi drpbalaji1960

Rather than a job, would your wife consider taking an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) course? It would get her out of the house, she would meet people in a similar situation – possibly even from the same background – and it would give her both a social life and a chance to improve her English...

The link below lists some of the providers of ESOL courses in Cardiff. I'm not sure where in Cardiff you're based so I can't be more specific.

If I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.

If she stays at home all day, she can't be learning much english that way.

She needs to get out into society, interact with people, perhaps find someone who would let her do some sort of volunteer work so that she could improve her English.

It's a tough job market out there, and those who speak English will be chosen over those who don't.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
