Should i risk it?

Looking to make my first sale on ebay it's a spiral staircase, Would you advice me to put it on without a starting or reserve price with it being my first sale? Have been a member for about 2 years and have bought a few things.

Personally without a track record you might not attract as many bids. If I were you I would check my market throughly to see if or what the going rate is. I would then have a start price of about 10% less than the minimum you are prepared to accept and then cross your fingers.

I'd put it up with no reserve for the minimum price you are willing to accept - people get put off with reserves.

So if you would be happy with £20/£50/£100 whatever, start it at that price.

Isn't a spiral staircase going to be difficult to sell on eBay?
Very specialised. Needs to fit the buyer's stairway?
I presume that it would have to be collection only due to the size?

As I assume you are offering cash on collection only you might get some interest, although normally I would say that a 2 feedback new seller would not get a good price for their item.

Start at the minimum you will accept, that way you won't be disappointed.

The thing in your favour is that a spiral staircase is not the first thing that would spring to mind, if you were going to do a scam. The item is so unusual, that I don't think that your low f/b would affect the sale.
