help needed - 50th wedding anniversary gift

Hi there

I am wondering if anyone can help me - I need to think of a present to give to my parents-in-law for their 50th wedding anniversary (can't ask hubby cos he is clueless :p )

I am totally blank as to ideas - so anything would be helpful

Many thanks in advance

BB

It depends on what they like, gardening you could buy a special rose. Sponor a bench in the park. Or if you are chipping into with others, weekend away. Tickets to a musical, trip on the orient express?

Have a look at its your picture .co .uk
I had an old pic of my parents when they were 'courting' that I had tidied up and converted to an oil painting (done on the computer). It was dead nice and I think they really liked it (and it's a bit different to the usual carriage clock!) It was printed onto canvas but there is a parchment mount option depending on how much you have to spend. If you type in WED0609 i think you get a 10% discount.
    Happy saving!

I'm just booking up for adult learners art lessons in September - that sort of thing may be good for your in-laws present and would probably be very cheap (assuming they were over 9 when wed!). Hot courses uk (I think) give details of local classes (cooking, art, pottery etc) or your local community center could help.
    Happy hunting!

we had a photo of mine and my sisters children taken together ( she lives 150 miles from me) so it was rare for grandparents to have a photo of the 4 of them together - the grandparents were absolutely delighted with the gift - and it tookpride of place over their fireplace
