Going to throw PC at the wall soon!!!!!

I wonder if anyone could help us in a very strange situation. We run a Dell PC with Vista - Virgin Broadband, have a netgear wireless router that runs other PC's in the house. Our security is by Mcafee.

Two weeks ago we suddenly found ourselves unable to access facebook. We get the log in screen. Put in our username and password but then it directs back to blank username and password??? As we could access other sites such as this we thought it was a direct prob with facebook. However two weeks later we still cant get on it. Lo and behold the same happens with quidco.com?????

We have tried getting in touch with virgin who insist its a PC prob and not broadband as connection is fine.
We have been into tools and made sure settings and security are okay. Nothing has worked. We tried to look it up on the web to see if others had this problem. Such searches bring up info on the DNS number???? Very confusing??

The other pc's in the house are fine?????? has anyone got any advice. We are currently thinking our four year old may have pressed something he shouldnt of as its the only reason we cant get in so suddenly.

Thanks in advance

once it is up and working and you are sure it is hack and virus free you could do worse than putting this on your PC, but it will stop you saving or changing or modify anything and always rolls back to a perfect PC

Which version of Internet Explorer? Have you tried deleting the cookies and temporary internet files?

Perhaps the problems are to be found in how the network of computers in your residence are seen through your modem via your ISP to faceook and quidco. The may be blocking access due to security procedures that allow a unique computer to pass and not another.
Can you elaborate on what login systems work with all computers and what logins fail with specific systems.
