My webcam on my EEE Pc is not working

Just bought an Eee Pc 900 from friend to take away with me travelling. He said the webcam was working which will be true but when i go to turn on the webcam it just comes up all fuzzy and not showing any picture. If you put finger infront of it will go dark so it is picking up something.

Any help would be great and please make it into as plain english blonde non computer talk as possible thanks

    Get your friend to demonstrate it working.
    If it doesn't ( probably a dead ccd) get your money back.

    I have turned the camera to Enable from the BIOS screen and still doing the same as before.

    I remember there's some sort of 'finish' option in the BIOS - not specifically linked to the webcam - which enabled mine to work. I know this is quite vague but hopefully it helps!
