Hello (im not techie - sorry)
I have a HAIER LCD TV Model L37A5A - no power lead!, everything else looks good (i.e remote, cosmetic of the tele)
It looks like it takes a standard plug that you normally use on the back of a PC, have tried several BUT it doesnt power up. Looked on web but cant find out
Do I need a special power lead for a HAIER?
hELP PLEASE!

If you know the lead is ok then is there an off/on switch somewhere on the TV?
Also how long have you had the TV and was it working before you got it?0 -
hi, it was given to me by a bloke who went to spain for 6 months....over a yr ago and isnt coming back
Its in a box and has been well stored. If its a right off then not the end of the world, but dont want to dump what could be a good tv
The power lead works on the computer and fits in ok with the TV. I notice it says 250v on it the there is a sticker on the back of the TV saying 150-240v....
Cant see any on / off switch on the tv....:)0 -
Have you looked at the back of the TV for an on/off switch, often they are tucked away at the back?0

Could be a failure in the power supply, it's very common. Normally needs all the electrolytic capacitors replacing.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”
