Pefki Islands Resort - Pefkos, Rhodes

My boyfriend and I have been looking at this hotel to go away next year. Is it worth the money we will be paying for it? Just wondering if anyone can tell us if they have been and what they thought of it and also is it suitable for us? We are 22 and 21 and want somewhere we can have a nice relaxing holiday but also be able to go out to a club/bars if we want to and plenty of restaurants?

Thanks in advance x

Have you checked hotel reviews on various websites (trip advisor, holidaysuncovered etc) ?

How on earth can anyone have an opinion on whether it is worth the money you are paying when you haven't stated what that is?
  • I am sorry, I simply forgot to put that in! It is £1004.00 for the two of us.

    For what duration and board?
  • I am not sure why it matters, 2 weeks, self-catering, I just want a few reports from people about the resort and accommodation?

Errrr - because you asked the question 'is it worth the money we will be paying for it?'

PS: if you had checked the reviews on the websites that I mentioned yesterday then you would have had most of your questions answered already.
  • I haven't been to this particular hotel but have been to Rhodes so can give you some general info. Pefkos is near Lindos which has a large acropolis site,it is pretty and very popular. I don't think there is much in the way of bars, restaurants etc in Pefkos so you will probably be heading to Lindos for more variety. Rhodes town is atmospheric, and quite big, there is a lot more to do there, and some nice hotels, you are spoilt for choice in bars, and restaurants. Falaraki is between Rhodes town and Lindos and aimed at boozy singles holidays, not an attractive resort but has a great beach. Hope this helps.

I have been to this hotel although it was quite a few years ago It was very nice, very clean and had a lovely pool area. Admittedly the price does seem rather on the high side to me- I went for a fortnight and at the time paid less than £200 each. There isn't a lot to do in Pefkos but if you are happy lounging by the pool then it's nice.

Hi, have just returned from Pefkos. We stayed at the Lindia Thalassa apartments which is part of the same group as the Pefki Islands resort (also right next door). There is also next to this, a smart new hotel called Island Blue. Guests staying at any of these three can use all the facilities, so there are 5 pools in total, 3 bars and a restaurant.

I have to say that the facilities are all very good, beautifully landscaped and spotlessly clean. Also the beach is lovely. Pefkos is a friendly and clean little resort which is made up mostly of restaurants and cocktail bar type places. For clubs you would have to go to Lindos (7 euros and 10 minutes by taxi) which is a lot livelier. I think Pefkos is more family oriented, particularly the apartments, though I saw quite a few young couples at the Island Blue. There is also not a great deal to do for two weeks and if you like shopping, forget it in Pefkos.

We enjoyed it very much and would go back. By the way, if anyone has just returned from Pefkos, please could you tell me the name of the guy who works at Lindia Thalassa and sells the sunbeds on the beach. He was so helpful when I lost my watch on the beach and I want to email the hotel and thank him! In fact all the staff were lovely!

Also, you need to add 200 euros for air con for two weeks, plus 50 euros for a safety deposit box.
