as it's paper i bought my husband a p bond, but you could buy a lottery ticket or scratch card.....still on the paper theme0

As it was paper I bought a hardbook book and stuck in momentoes, photos and wrote little stories, anecdotes about our 1st year of marriage together.
We've been married 4 years and i've added to it and written about our 1st pregnancy (sadly ended in miscarriage) and when our little daughter was born. And also moving out of our 1st home into a bigger house. big life changing stuff!0 -
I bought my hubby concert tickets for ours and he bought me a newspaper from our wedding day as we had forgot all about getting one

Why not buy him a magazine subscription, as year one is paper

Not necessarily a one person present, but a family friend and her husband bought each other half a bed for their first anniversary.
(They needed a new bed, paper and bed frames are both made of wood... granted it's a bit leftfield but it worked!)
ETA: By 'half a bed' I mean they bought a bed and each paid half and that was their present to each other, not that they bought half of two different beds!"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
thank you so much for all your suggestions. I've brought a wallet and I'm going to get some theatre tickets to put in it but I'd like to get some IOU's that I can fill in myself with some promises eg dinner out one night or no washing up for a week and date them for each month till next year. does anyone know where I might be able to download some free ones???
thanks so much!0 -

Cant praise these guys enough - they were in touch via email at every stage and helped me work out what would look better for the pic i had chosen parchment oil etc..
