I was just wondering if any here knows which car works out to be the cheapest with the bangers for cash scheme where you get £2,000 towards a new car if you scrap yours.

I just want something economical and cheap - I think some fiats work out at around £5,000 after the 2k discount - anything better out there?

Also, can you still haggle with the dealer to get an even better deal?

We recently purchased the Suzuki Alto SZ4 model and because the car was already in stock then we were able to secure a good deal. The SZ2 and the SZ3 are group1 insurance and very nice cars. I'm sure you might be able to secure something for £5k with a dealer if they already have the cars in stock. Good luck
