This will have been done but I have a quick question about second chance offers

When a sale to a winning bidder falls through, and an item is sold on a second chance offer to the underbidder, does this leave the seller liable for two sets of final value fees?
I think it does, but have been talking with someone who seems sure that it'd only be one set of fees.
She's making me doubt myself now, so some clarification from you guys would be much appreciated!
Thanks

Depends on why the first bidder fell through?0

Didn't read listing properly and decided not to take the item when they turned up to collect it. As far as I know no NPB dispute or mutual cancellation has been done to date either, which I thought would need to be done to cancel out the first set of FVFs.0

As far as I get it you would need a mutual cancellation to get rid of first FVF if not you would get them twice. Thats how I understand it but I could be wrong as I've not done one for years0

Thanks for that cyberbob, that's pretty much what I thought too.0

FVFs are payable on each successfull sale unless the NPB dispute has been finished , or a mutual agreed by the buyer.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thats right, otherwise a seller could list just one item & then give 2nd chance offers to everyone else with further items the same but not pay any FVF's.0
