Not sure what to do with this buyer, any ideas?

I sold a new designer handbag to a new buyer on Ebay. She paid me straight away by Paypal and I sent the item special delivery the next day. I sent her the tracking number by email. Next day I recieved this message " you said the bag would be here hun, its not hun, will you find out whats going on"? I checked on the website the bag was at an East London sorting office after delivery was atempted but no one was in. I sent the details and told her to collect it or rearrange delivery on line.
Recieved this message" Hun, be a sweetie collect it for me and pop it round to my office its not far from the post office, I don't have time for all this nonsense. I am very busy."
I politely replied that I live in the West Midlands and I would not be able to collect her parcel and deliver it.
The bag has now been returned to me as uncollected. I have now a shiny negative from her stating non delivery. She still wants the bag but it will cost me a further £7.50 to resend it. She has refused to pay for further postage. I would rather just refund her the cost of the bag minus the original postage. Where do I stand if I do this?

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A

Sounds like she's being difficult and [if you dont mind me saying so] very much up herself. I don't like the patronising way she's calling you "hun" and how she assumes you'll be free and willing to collect the parcel for you.
I'd just give her a full refund and get it over and done with. Leave a polite follow-up to her neg saying "parcel was not collected from sorting office"Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0 -
Firstly, reply to her neg (on your feedback page) stating what happened. Then it won't put other buyers off too much. Then, add her to your blocked bidder list. Tell her to open a Paypal dispute for item not recieved, and put your tracking number in the box (some people may say send a refund straight away, but in this case, I'd make her wait a bit for it). Finally, relist the item.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

^ Agreed.
Don't forget to block her from bidding on any more of your listings.:j30/7/10:j

I also agree with DaveAshton, you know she will get a refund so I'd make her wait. The fact that she has already left a negative means she has nothing left with which to threaten, let her go to a paypal chargeback but make sure you enter your tracking details now in paypal.
There is anecdotal evidence on the community boards that paypal have found for the seller in cases where an attempted delivery was made and shows as such online. The very worst that can happen is that she gets a refund anyway.
If not already done so, then block her as well if only for being a patronising ** and calling you hun.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. For me it would have been worth collecting the bag for her and delivering it to her, just so you could punch her lights out for calling you hun! Patronising cow, hope she never darkens my Ebay doorway:mad::kisses2:
