Hi does anyone know the answer to this
I have a new LG Viewty and this week I started using a Flip Wallet to protect it. But since then my battery keeps draining after only 16 hours.
Could the magnetic catch be causing this as it was fine before I started using this wallet
Thanks for any advice in advance

Generally no, unless it's a powered magnet of course. However, I seriously doubt you're carry case is powered in such a way.
More than likely there's something catching and depressing a button? Or perhaps you have it searching on bluetooth for a compatible device? Or perhaps it's set to maintain a connection to the internet and it's polling various stations to find a connect? If so check your settings.
Other than trying a different case I can't think of anything else.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
I imagine the cover part of the flip wallet is touching the screen and keeps turning the screen on. The viewty screen switches on when touched even if the phone is locked0

Yes it could & does! Take it out of the wallet & see the improvement.AirCooledHeaven wrote: »I imagine the cover part of the flip wallet is touching the screen and keeps turning the screen on. The viewty screen switches on when touched even if the phone is locked
Sorry but no it doesn't, the touchscreen is deactivated once the phone is locked.

The backlight will still come on when the screen is touched even when locked0 -

Not on mine it doesn't, have to press the little silver "unlock" button on the side. Pressing either of the call buttons will flash up the time for about a second but touching the screen does nothing when locked.Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -

Hello sorry for taking so long to reply to you...all replies appreciated
It would seem that it was the wallet draining the battery...it also drained the new battery in my car fob..so be warned it has cost £5 from Fords for a new one....I have now ordered a new wallet0
