Payment to court wrong address

As above we were involved in a dispute with MIL from hell, it went to county court as was an overpayment from a will anyway we had to pay some of this claim.
On the day i offered to pay the amount there and then but the judge said no the money needed to be paid into the executors account at the bank this is what MIL said as well as she said that soliciter had bank details ok so we arranged for soliciter to send chq to the bank and account named in the papers all done yesterday
Today got court papers they said money to be sent to the executors private residence:confused: have rung the court they say that they cant find where the judge stated that the payment was to go to the bank but it shouldnt be a problem is this true MIL is a nightmare and picks up everything and makes life difficult we only had 14 days to pay and are on day7 now . Will it all be ok . Thought this was all over after 5 years of hell and that we had finally reached the end
Many thanks in advance

yes, it will be fine. stop the first cheque (may cost a tenner or so) and send the new one special delivery so you get a record of it being sent.

the money is payable to the estate of which the MIL is an executor it is not her personal money so payable to the deceaseds estate so sending it straight to the bank cuts out MIL and deffinate proof that this has been paid MIL likes to play games

then just ask solicitor to stop *their* cheque and do as above. It will be fine!
