Buyer on Ebay taking the P*** help

Hi just wondered if any of you have any advice as to my next move regarding my problem ebay buyer?
Basically i sold a new sealed expensive perfume, bought from boots. My buyer has contacted me 2 weeks after recieving it and says that it arrived with a quarter of the bottle missing?????!!! I think she has obviously used it for two weeks and decided to get her money back . What do you think? Also what should i do next? I have emailed her back and asked how that is since it was factory sealed and shop bought and have had no reply. Its really annoying me as im getting all the carp buyers at mo.
Help im a private seller and just get rid of stuff that get as presents or impulse buys etc and cannot afford to take a large hit like this, cause it will obviously be unsellable now (sp)
Any help/ advice gratefully recieved

If she opens a paypal dispute item not as described she will have to return it for a refund tracked. You could politely aske her why its taken her two weeks to tell you.
I'd ask her to return the item for a refund as if she opens a dispute. Thats what is likely to happen anyway0 -
they are trying it on from the sounds of it
just sit back nd see if they reply, they may
lose their nerve with a bit of luck.
Do me a favour pm me her ebay name so
I can add her to my blocked bidders list.
People like this are a real pain.:j:j:j0 -

With all due respect the OP, we're only getting one side of the story here, and there is nothing to suggest that we are hearing the truth.
Admittedly, it does sound like they're pulling a fast one, but we shouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions. I'm sure there are people on my BBL that have been fine with many other sellers, and vice versa.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
Tell her that the staff at the shop you bought it from are horrified and want to make a test case of this bizarre leakage, so she will need to be interviewed and sign various legal documents for their supplier?0

Great suggestion I like that.
Defo sounds like buyer is trying it on. I wouldn't be surprised if they sent you a half used bottle back. For thousands of people this Christmas, their must-have gift is far more vital than the latest gadget or toy – it’s blood. Please don’t let the festivities and cold weather prevent you from giving them the ultimate gift… give blood.0 -
Did you not have photographs on the listing which show it sealed, or the full bottle? If so probably wouldn't hurt just to refresh her memory of them0
-
Definitely as reniannen said. Show them the photographs that you put up.MSE allowed me to see the light0

Stop selling to fish ?0 -
If you sent her the sealed box (i.e. you hadn't seen the bottle), then there is a possibility that she's only just opened it (finishing off old perfume first??) and found the bottle not to be full.
I've worked in many factories (not a perfume one - although similar), and filling mistakes do happen!
Besides, there's no way she could use that much perfume in just 2 weeks!!!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Have you considered that it may have taken two weeks because it was a gift?
It is entirely plausible that the bottle was under-filled during production, I bought an aftershave that was nearly empty from Boots a few years back (they happily replaced it).We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0
