Template letters to reduce payments to creditors?

3K Posts
Hi all, I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct place and I'm sure you will all (very kindly) tell me if there is somewhere more appropriate
Having had my lightbulb moment earlier today (the real one not the energy saving kind which I've had before!!!), I've made a proper budget and discovered I spend more than I earn. Over the last 6 months I've minimised all the outgoings I can and sadly its my debt repayments which are crippling me. I've done a letter to each of my creditors proposing a lower monthly repayment at present, but wasn't sure whether there was a recommended template, in order to "argue the best case". Thanks for your wisdom in advance

There are a number of templates on the national debtline website which we often use here. Otherwise this thread has a lot on it

Have a look on the CCCS site(debt remedy), and ask on here, sometimes you will have to fill in an SOA, for your creditors and if you are not going through a debt charity:A, you will be asked for one:rolleyes:
