:rolleyes:I have read the threads on here but can't seem to find what I need.
A family member needs a new mobile (on PAYG) preferably one easily unlocked so we can switch it to any SIM.
Can't find ones that don't need monthly top ups?
Can't see any difference to a monthly contract with this and I have been told DEF NO CONTRACT!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
All the links I've tried so far do not in fact lead to a cheap phone.
Thanks.:T

    Try this one;

    http://www.e2save.com/virgin-payg-phone/Nokia+1650+Blue/7/1650

£19.95 including £10.00 Top Up, so phone is £9.95, go through Quidco for a further saving if you wish.

e2save is part of Carphone Warehouse, every phone that I have purchased from them has been unlocked.

This one is on Virgin at that price, however it will 99.9% certainly arrive unlocked.

    Good luck.

As has already been said - CPW because the majority of their handsets are network free.

When I need a cheap handset I normally find a CPW offer which is also available in their shops and physically go and pick one up. IME this has three advantages:-

    1. They guys in the shop will usually let you try another network SIM card to check if the handset is indeed unlocked.
    2. It avoids the countless problems I and others have reported with CPW Online screwing up peoples credit cards and getting them blocked.
    3. If the deal includes £10 credit, that you have to pay for a part of the deal, it will be applied there and then in the store. This avoids the hours of hassle when weeks later your online purchase still hasn't received the credit despite assurance from CPW Online that it will.

YMMV but these comments are made after personal experience of several poorly handled transactions with CPW Online.

Mobiles.co.uk (part of CPW) tell you on the website if the phone is unlocked. Their cheapest phone in stock is the Samsung E1100 on Orange at £9.90 + £10 credit + £3.99 delivery. £10 Quidco possible so you could be paying £13.89 for an unlocked phone with £10 credit.

Is there an easy way to find out which deals are available in their shops also?
    Thanks for info.:T
